HOW TO CREATE A PRE-ORDER (GROUP ORDER)
1. GO TO YOUR PRODUCT LINK AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE.
2. ADD A PRODUCT (click on the + sign)
3. CREATE A PRODUCT. (Please pay attention to the In Stock field and make it 0. This enables the system to understand that it's a pre-order, meaning that the stock is not available). Make sure you SAVE.
4. MAKE SURE THAT YOU ADD YOUR SHIPPING DETAILS SUCH AS WEIGHT OF THE PRODUCT IS INCLUDED TO PROPERLY CALCULATE.
5. THEN CLICK ON THE PRE-ORDER TAB AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGE. YOU CAN CHOOSE WHETHER YOU ONLY WANT TO COLLECT PARTIAL PAYMENT e.g. 50%, 75% etc.
6. ONCE A CUSTOMER MAKES A PURCHASE, YOU WILL SEE A RECORD OF THE PRE-ORDER TRANSACTION. CHANGE THE STATUS FROM PAID TO BACKORDERED TO ENSURE THE REMAINING BALANCE (IF THERE IS) OF THE PRE-ORDER GETS COLLECTED FROM THE CUSTOMER.
7. CLICK ON THE ORDER NUMBER AND YOU WILL SEE THE DETAILS OF THE ORDER Including CONTACTING CUSTOMER IF NEEDED.
8. WHEN CUSTOMER CHECKS OUT, THEY WILL ALSO SEE A SHIPPING CALCULATION SO THERE ARE NO SURPRISES FOR THEM LATER ON.
9. ONCE YOU MAKE THE PRODUCT AVAILABLE (BACK IN STOCK), THE CUSTOMER WILL RECEIVE A PREORDER REMINDER OVER EMAIL WITH LINK TO BUY, TO FULFIL THE SECOND PART OF THE ORDER (IF THEY WERE CHARGED PARTIALLY)
10. THE LINK WILL TAKE THE CUSTOMER TO THE SIGN IN PAGE THEN DIRECTLY TO THE SAME ORDER WHERE CUSTOMERS CAN FULFIL IT. CLICK ON THE PAY ORDER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND IT WILL COMPLETE THE ORDER.
11. In the event, you need to follow –up a payment reminder with a customer, you can manually trigger an email by clicking on the wheel of the order number as shown.
12. You can also VIEW the sample email by going to your SETTINGS>EMAIL TEMPLATE>PREORDER REMINDER as shown in the image.
13. TO CLOSE THE ORDER, CHANGE THE STATUS TO COMPLETE
